New Teacher Orientation and Art In Our Schools....
In The News Announcements Grade 5 Students Will Have Continued Access to Rosetta Stone During the SummerRosetta Stone World Language Summer Login Information
This year's 5th grade students entering the GRMS in September will have continued access to the Rosetta Stone World Languages Learning Platform during the summer. Students will be able to practice and continue to develop Spanish and Latin language skills which will help them as they begin Middle School.
Fifth Grade Students can access the district license for Rosetta Stone by using the following link:
Until July 15th , students will have access to the Latin curriculum using their current login credentials.
Example:
John Smith Grade 5
Username: smithj20latin
Password: Student Id number
On July 16th , students will have access to the Spanish language curriculum using the below credentials.
Example:
John Smith Grade 5
Username: smithj20
Password: Student Id number

The District Mathematics Committee invites and welcomes parents and guardians with students in grades K-5 to this informative session which will be held on March 5th from 7-8:15PM at the Coleman School (Multipurpose Room)
Since this program is geared only for parents and guardians, children may not attend. The Coleman School Multipurpose Room has limited seating; therefore, please R.S.V.P. by returning the below form to your child’s classroom teacher by February 22, 2013. School will be in session during the morning and professional development activities will begin at 1:45. A schedule of detailed activities and locations are posted in the below documents file. Professional development certificates can be obtained in the home school front offices.
K-5 Parent/Guardian Language Arts Literacy WorkshopParents and guardians are warmly welcomed to a workshop on December 6th at 7pm to learn about our balanced literacy program. The workshop will be held in the Central School Auditorium and conducted by the district K-5 Language Arts Literacy Consultant/Teacher Trainer, Christine La Gatta from Teacher's College. During the workshop, parents/guardians will learn about:
· The impact of the new Common Core School Standards on our curriculum;
· New instructional resources that are available to our teachers and students
· Exposure to typical classroom activities; · Ways to help your child improve their literacy skills; and
· Opportunities to ask questions about the program.
The Committee invites and welcomes grades K-5 parents and guardians to this informative session as we work to strengthen instruction and improve the reading and writing skills of our students.
